Every month, the two District 65 school have a teleconference with both representatives from the Verizon Foundation and Digital Promise. This touch base meeting usually leaves us with tasks to complete, and more information to digest. However, last week, we were given great news. Both schools, King Arts and Chute, will continue in the project. Our students will be continue to be provided the 4G data plan, that allows for 24/7 access to information via the internet.
Once the excitement settled, my brain began to run with questions of, what does year 3 look like. What should be expected of students, teachers, myself? When you are first taught a new skill you go through phases. As teachers we've experienced the trepidation of adding this electronic tool to our learning environments. It was rocky and unsettling at first. Now, we've moved into a period of assuredness. No longer are we questioning what's possible with the device. We are clear on what's possible. So now where are we? What's the next level?
Exciting times.
